Definition

A KPI measuring the percentage of employees who leave an organisation over a given period, calculated as (number of departures ÷ average headcount) × 100. Tracking attrition by department, tenure band, and exit reason helps identify retention risks and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives.
